| Abstract |
This lesson is about children that left home during the Great Depression and looked for jobs while riding the railroads. The lesson combines the book “Rudy Rides the Rails” along with some primary source stories from actual kids that hopped trains across the country.
The student note sheet has the students map out the different rails that students followed as well as responding to how the country attempted to pull itself out of the Great Depression
